Last night, during an investigation into the shooting in the 500 Block, Sault Police stopped traffic.

Today, Sault Fire Services and PUC attended to a blown transformer in the 200 block of Walnut Street.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. this afternoon, Pumpers 1, 2 and 4 were dispatched to reports of a transformer explosion at the location.

Upon arrival you could see burn marks on the on the affected transformer and a breaker tripped. The breaker knocked out power to the lights on North at Northern Road. PUC was called to attend the scene.

You are reminded that if there is no traffic lights to treat the intersection like a 4-way stop.
