Updated – Car Flips during mid-day collision (photos)

Updated – During the noon hour, emergency services were dispatched to a intersection in the east end.

Upon arrival at the corner of Wellington Street and Pine Street a two-vehicle collision was observed. It appeared as though everyone was able to walk away from the incident.

A white SUV was on it’s roof in the westbound lanes of Wellington Street, just west of the intersection while a black vehicle was in the intersection.

Every emergency service had personelle on scene for over an hour dealing with the situation. The roadway is still blocked at the location while crews clean up.

ORIGNAL – Sault Ste. Marie Police, Fire and Medics are currently on the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Wellington Street East and Pine Street. Please avoid the area to ensure the safety of emergency responders.

  1. Oh… cmon… this is an epidemic!
    I’m sure, if we scratch a bit the surface we’ll find that all those smashing their cars are just people that had not a good reason to replace their vehicles!
    Now, they found one… but it comes to a cost for all of us and it’s call insurance on the rise.
    Remember, insurance is the risk of the few, divided among the many!
    We are gonna pay for this, all of us and the Police, as always, better start doing their job and furnishing this people with a peachy ticket on top of few demerit points.

  2. Daydreaming and being preoccupied while driving is the norm for many, they really shouldn’t be driving at all.
    Slap them with demerit points and jack THEIR insurance rates, not mine!
