Police update –

Officers are currently on scene of a single vehicle collision in the area of South Market Street and Boundary Road.

Sault Fire Services were called to extricate the female driver from the vehicle. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

 

Traffic will be disrupted as the vehicle collided with utility poles in the area. We urge the public to avoid the area as PUC crews are on scene working to repair the damage.

 

 

The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. this afternoon, emergency services were called to the corner of South Market and Boundary Road

Upon arrival they found a vehicle on its side and multiple power lines down.

Sault Fire Services were called to extricate the female driver from the vehicle. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic will be disrupted as the vehicle collided with utility poles in the area. It is advised the public avoid the area as PUC crews are on scene working to repair the damage.

A large power outage is reported in the area.

  1. This bend is almost blind, coming from either direction. The city needs to paint a centre line on this entire street, as no one seems to stay on their side going around the bends on South Market, and swerving around vehicles parked against the curb.
    I wouldn’t be surprised if this was someone avoiding a head-on, and then ending up in the rhubarb as the other drive casually carried on.
