Sault Ste. Marie, ON (2021 06 09) – The Bellevue Park Splash Pad will open for the season on June 10, 2021. The Splash Pad is open daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
When using the Splash Pad, practice public health measures including physical distancing and adhering to social gathering limits. Be courteous and share this space with the community. Limit your time and ensure others have a chance to use the amenity. If the Splash Pad is busy, and physical distancing is not possible, users are asked to return at a later time.
“We continue to ensure that proper procedures are in place at all facilities. Staff are focused on making the necessary preparations to welcome the community back to its facilities once we are permitted to do so. As with all areas, these preparations include complying with Provincial legislation and with guidance from Algoma Public Health (often requiring APH site inspections),” said Malcolm White, CAO.
As in previous years, the City has tentatively scheduled the reopening of the Manzo and Greco outdoor pool in early July. The Bellevue Park concession will open June 17.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie continues to work closely with Algoma Public Health and community stakeholders to monitor the COVID-19 situation and respond accordingly. Users are reminded to take extra caution and abide by on-site signage and protocols. For the most current information, updates will be posted to the City’s website at www.saultstemarie.ca/covid19 and on social media.
