Update: West Street Investigation

On June 13, 2021 around 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a call of a deceased woman in the area of West Street and Portage Lane.

As a result of the ongoing investigation officers are investigating this case as a homicide. Officers remain on scene as the investigation is ongoing.

The victim’s family has been notified, but at this time information about the victim is not being released. Further information will be released as it becomes available.

  1. All negative comments? What has a murder to do with you calling the Mayor useless? And what is this got to do with the downtown Plaza? Even more, what has this got to do with the mayor following Sheehan and Trudeau?
    None of them were mentioned in the article, and there shouldn’t be any sort of politics in the situation!

  2. Brutal. The practice of catch and release must stop. The city needs to hire 20 new police officers to get serious and crack down before things like this happen weekly. The mayor would rather have a useless 8.5 million dollar downtown plaza.

    • Take it up with Terry Sheehan and Justin Trudeau – it’s his changes to the criminal code that are seriously benefiting criminals and hurting the rest of Canada.
