This project is focused on increasing community engagement in Northern Ontario, to produce greater consistency and availability of programs, services, and events for individuals with ASD and their families. This will be accomplished with the support of an Oversight Committee, consisting of specific volunteers from across the region, who will assist Autism Ontario regional staff in the planning and coordinating of programs, special events and community initiatives.
In addition, there are also a variety of exciting opportunities for general volunteers to get involved in their area. Available casually or looking to be more committed? There is a volunteer role suited just for you! Whether you want to lend a hand with administrative work, help with event planning, facilitate a program, or sit on a committee, we encourage you to become a volunteer and help us raise awareness of autism and advocate for those on the spectrum!
