Batchewana First Nation held their elections for Chief and Council on Wednesday. Results of he election were released late Wednesday evening.
Dean Sayers was re-elected as Chief receiving 424 votes .
Councillors elected include Greg Agawa, Harvey Bell, Luke Melvin McCoy, Mark McCoy,Gary Roach , Melissa Sayers, Trevor Sayers and Ann Tegosh.
This count was diligently conducted in accordance with the Indian Band Election Regulations.
Congratulations to those elected/re-elected.
