A driver is lucky to be alive and another vehicle was damaged in a west end collision which ended up with a large scene.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Police, Firefighters and Paramedics were dispatched to a creek in the vicinity of Airport Road and Baseline Road.
Emergency crews discovered a grey vehicle wheels down in the water and another vehicle which was located on Baseline.
According to a witness, the one vehicle was travelling northbound on Airport Road and clipped the second vehicle. It then ended up travelling over 100 feet, through deep grass in the ditch coming to rest in the creek.
The occupants of the second vehicle were uninjured.
Airport road was closed northbound while rescue and clean-up occurred. The roadway was cleared around 7 p.m..
