Wondering how to keep your kids entertained this summer and using creativity rather than eyes on screen?  The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library has two potential solutions!  Enter them in the Summer Online Lego challenge and/or participate in July’s StoryWalk.

Participants will complete weekly challenges sent by email and receive a personal response from library staff.

New this year! Lego prizes will be drawn each week from the entries received.

This is a 7-Week Program that starts July 19th, 2021.  Registration will begin on Monday, July 5th, 2021.

Visit us at https://ssmpl.ca/kids/kids-programming/ for directions to register for Lego fun!

In addition to the fun of the Lego challenge, you may also want to consider the StoryWalk for this month.  Hosted in partnership with TD Summer Reading club, this event is free and is self-directed.

Visit the library front lawn at 50 East Street to enjoy reading the story “The Thing Lou Couldn’t Do”, by Ashley Spires,on laminated poster boards as you stroll by with your family.

This activity will be physically distanced and following current public health recommendations. This self-directed walk provides a great outdoor book reading experience for the whole family.

You won’t want to miss this event available from Monday July 12th to Saturday July 24th, 2021.
