Author Talks Local History, Science Fiction, and the Opioid Crisis

On Saturday, August 28th, visit the Sault Ste. Marie Museum to hear author Mike Sauve read an excerpt from his newest book!

The Many Fentanyl Addicted Wraiths of Sault Sainte Marie is Mike’s forthcoming book from Tailwinds Press. The book includes an overview of Sault history, discussing figures like F.H. Clergue, Alexander Henry, David Pim, and many others. According to the author, “the point of this effort was to shine a light on historical tendencies that too often people in Sault Sainte Marie prefer to ignore”.

Mike Sauve has written for The Sault Star, The National Post, Variety, and McSweeney’s. His other novels available from Montag Press include The Wraith of Skrellman, The Apocalypse of Lloyd, and I Ain’t Got No Home In This World Anymore. His works have been discussed on Coast to Coast AM and many other radio shows and podcasts.

Mike will be available after the reading to meet community members and to sell and sign books.

The reading and author meet and greet entry is free or by donation.
The event will begin at 2 PM on August 28th. No appointments are necessary.

The Sault Ste. Marie Museum is located at 690 Queen Street East.
Please use the back door to enter. Parking lot entry is off of East Street.

We hope to see you there!
