GFL has early morning line-up for something other than vaccinations

Picture of early morning line-up taken by Kevin Herbert.
For the first time this year there is a line-up out the doors for the GFL Memorial Gardens, the reason this time however doesn’t relate to vaccine clinics.
A limited amount of tickets have just gone on sale for our beloved OHL hockey team, the Soo Greyhounds.
According to Kevin Herbert who has stood in line for over an hour, the excitement is real. ”I’m beyond excited to be going back. It’s been a long 18 months since the last game. It’s finally a feeling that we are returning to some semblance of normalcy. I’ve been a season ticket holder for about 12 years and rarely miss a game,” said Herbert.
“It’s exciting to be heading back even under these uncertain times, but with limited capacities and social distancing it feels great to be able to get out for some games in a safe environment. I’m excited to get back in the stands cheering the team on.”
Peter Florio, a life-long fan says it’s been over 500 days since you could last witness a Greyhounds game and the time is quickly approaching to finally be able to do so again. “I’m beyond excited to say the least. It’s been way too long, 531 days to be exact. I’m ready to cheer on the red and white!!”
With only 1,000 tickets available for fans to purchase ,one team scrimmage game which is on Friday, September 3rd at 7:07pm and two pre-season contests, Sunday, September 5th at 2:07pm and Saturday, September 25th at 7:07pm.
