According to Sault Police Services Communications Manager, Lincoln Louttit, this is how it happened.
“A white SUV travelling northbound on Pine Street failed to stop at a right light at the intersection of Second Line East and struck a blue SUV travelling eastbound on Second Line East,” said Louttit, in an e-mailed statement. “As a result of the collision, the blue SUV rolled onto the roof. Each vehicle only had one occupant. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and did not suffer physical injuries. The 40-year-old woman driving the white SUV was charged with fail to stop at a red light under the Highway Traffic Act.”
