UPDATED – Train Crossing disabled after collision (photo gallery)

We are receiving multiple reports from individuals who state that the white van involved in the collision at Second Line, also took out the fence at customs.

According to one reader who was involved in the situation-

“It actually started at Queen and Huron at Canada customs. I stopped to help then he chased me down the street and I had to go fast in reverse to avoid this guy,” said the witness.

He provided us with this photo of the damage and debris at this location.

We have reached out to Sault Police Services for further explanation.




12:43 – Shortly after 11 a.m. this morning, Sault Police Services and EMS attended the scene of a collision near the intersection of Carmen’s Way and Second Line.

There is no word on injuries but one vehicle did strike the railway crossing.

Officers are currently on scene of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Carmen’s Way and Second Line East.
A vehicle struck railway crossing equipment in the area. No physical injuries have been reported at this time.

Traffic will be disrupted for some time as the investigation is ongoing and crews work to clear the area.
