So, if you wondered about some of the large buses in Sault Ste. Marie over the last few days, at least a few of them were for the OCAA Collegiate golf tournament held at Crimson Ridge.

According to Paul Orazietti, Athletics Manager at Sault College, this is the second time in three years that the school has hosted the event.

“We have about 80 college, post-secondary level golfers from around the province competing for the Ontario championships,” said Orazietti. He says they came from as far away as Kingston and Windsor to compete in the event.

He is extremely happy with Crimson Ridge and the level of golf that was played over the past 3 days of the tournament.

“It’s great for golf.  It’s nice to see so many golfers at the post secondary level.  It’s been a real treat to watch some really good golf,” Orazietti told SaultOnline. “A lot of teams from around the province have really thought a lot of where they played this week.”

The winner of the Men’s division was Jamall Moussaoui from St. Lawrence College with a three day total of 219 or +3 on the course.

Haylee McCallum from Humber College won the Women’s division with a 241 or +25 on the course.

Humber was also the best Women’s team overall and St. Lawrence was the best Men’s team over the three days.
