The third annual Du283 started from the Canal District early Sunday Morning on September 26th.

Over 3 dozen duathlon participants left the starting blocks headed on a running, then cycling tour of our waterfront and downtown area, all in support of the Algoma Family Services Foundation.

AFSF helps raise funds towards specialized services for children, youth, adults and families in the Algoma District as administered through Algoma Family Services.

The client-centred services and are offered by skilled professionals and are structured to be family-focused and evidence-based.

They specialize in child and youth mental health supports as well as other services needed by the community.

Roads were correspondingly closed in the downtown area for the majority of the morning on September 26th while the competition was completed.
