  • consider whether the official has committed a criminal offence in connection with the incident under investigation

This means the scene will remain secured until their investigators deem otherwise.Readers can expect traffic in the area to be slow.Stay with SaultOnline as we continue to bring you updates as they become available.

  1. Maybe if Trudeau didn’t have a catch and release program these scumbags would be in jail long before getting to the point of shooting guns at police officers. Today is the day. Vote. Get rid of the liberals and their soft stance on criminals

  2. You can thank turdeau for bill c75 as the gun was probably smuggled in from states, but turdeau gives them a free pass and a lighter sentence oh and a hug, while taking away legal law abiding gun owners guns!!!!

  3. @Sing – No doubt, right?! Like, let’s all deflect a little more by building a much needed plaza, or worry about moving the bus terminal instead of adding more beds to that so-call “20-bed treatment facility!” to add an insult to insult.. 20-beds doesn’t even “SCRATCH” the surface.. and we’ve got that Bozo n the 10 Musketeers run’n around spending OUR hard earned cash on completely USELESS projects! BUT, what can we expect from a rich, arrogant, entitled, scumbag attorney huh..??! Municiple vote cant come soon enough.. and I think he should take the rest of the uselessness with um with em when he goes!

  4. Well, the Police didn’t have problems identifying the attacker… he had his gun registered with JT Gun Owner Registry.
Well, I’m assuming he had the gun registered, otherwise, how would he buy ammunition?
We can change it and tomorrow is our las opportunity.
Remember, to give the victory to the right, no guns, no bullets and no blood is necessary, just the right votes from the law abiding Canadians.

  5. A Officer responded to a Job many say is one of the worse situations to go into a Domestic. A Young person in the prime of there life killed because of action they chose. A Young person who was part of this domestic who lived , life will forever change seeing a officer shot and the supposedly love one die in front of there eyes. This is not a political issue sadly is a issue where society has become more about ME then WE.

I am not a supporter of any party but a Proud Saulite and support this city and the people who live here. Instead of division lets see what the city has to offer. Support law enforcement Support the healthcare workers support local business Create change instead of blaming change.

To the officer who went into this situation Gods speed and may Your family find peace. To the deceased family may the burden and questions be answered and comfort and solace given to comfort the numbness.

  6. The City Police do a great service for this community. Tragic , everyone wishes the Officer their prayers and a speedy recovery. This could of been prevented if the Major and the Liberal government focused on the real issues in Sault Ste Marie . Just more Liberal promises for Sault Ste. Marie that Mr. Trudeau has no intention of putting forth if he is elected. If he wins a Majority Governments , I think we all know that Mr. Trudeau will just use the Canadian Taxpayers money to bring in more immigrants into Canada to build up his voters base and impose more unwanted laws and restrictions on the rest of us. It’s all about whether we want to live in a Democratic Canada or live under Mr. Trudeau’s Dictatorship .

    • This is not a political issue! Your attempt to blame politicians is like blaming the teacher when your child acts up. This is a family and social issue, the 19 year old was failed by his family and friends who have not taught him right from wrong or they never got him the help he needs. Stop blaming people that have nothing to do with this.
These actions are beyond the mayors scope. People should look up what a mayor can and can not do in Ontario.

    • Hopeful then at ther plaza they can sell guns fkr people maybe for sekf defends from people abusive like this. Domesticate situations like this, prkbably not drugs relegated or gang. Relative. Guy clearlye wished to do harms to the officers probably stop a mass shootings

  7. Thanks To Team Trudeau MP Terry Sheehan. There catch and release law has let to this. One dead and one of our Police Officers in serious condition.
You and only can change this .LIBERALS have blood on their hands .Vote them out!
