Emergency Services were called to the central part of the city shortly after noon for reports of a collision.

Upon arrival, three vehicles were found to have come into contact with each other in the middle of the McNabb Street hill.

According to one witness, two individuals were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

There was no indication as to the official cause of the incident, however local residents in the surrounding housing complex’s have spoken to police numerous times about the speed on the hill.

The roadway was still closed in both directions at 1 p.m..

  1. The prime minister was just explaining the other day, the importance of wearing our seat belts. He said we need to wear them to ensure that the people driving in the other car don’t get hurt. Someone hear was being very selfish by not wearing their seat belt, and as a result the people driving in the other vehicle where injured. (Liberal logic 101)

  2. City and police have been busy trying to reduce speeding eliminating the syncing of traffic lights. It looks as though the speeding continues but in shorter distances.

  3. This is typical of the damage sustained when cars collide that are doing highway speeds in the city. Yet another reason why we don’t need a duplicate downtown plaza, we need far more traffic enforcement to help cut down on this carnage.

  4. People drive like maniacs in this city!!!
This past week on 2 separate days, drivers pulled out in front of me…..they didn’t stop at the STOP signs and weren’t even looking… good thing I had time to stop..it is unbelievable…need more traffic police…

    • Quite right, which is driving our insurance rates sky high when we don’t deserve to be punished for the irresponsible and dangerous drivers habits and these daily crashes.
There is never a cop around when you need one and sometimes it takes them hours to respond if they do at all.
They will never be effective at traffic enforcement if the status quo continues. The mayor has tunnel vision for a downtown plaza so they can hang a plaque with his name on it, he will be of no help whatsoever when it comes to anything else.
