Organizers of the fundraising event for three injured motorcyclists were pleased with the turnout on Saturday, September 11th, despite the weather. You can see the original article along with the local petition that was started to create change to avoid these horrific scenarios in future https://saultonline.com/2021/07/local-motorcyclist-starts-petition-for-change-on-busy-highway/.
Parked among the raindrops were cars and bikes of all kinds who had gathered to help raise money for the cause.
Brian Nadon, chairperson for the organization which was formed for the three, was able to provide more information on what was going on.
“This was a fundraising event meant to help the three riders who were badly hurt back in July,” said Nadon. “Even before the event we had about $10,000 in donations. We were hoping to raise about $10,000 more today.”
He was also able to tell us that one rider has been released from the hospital and another was hopeful of imminent release.
Organizers also wanted to thank the many businesses who helped to make the day a success.
