On October 2, 2021 officers with Patrol Services charged 30-year-old Jesse Coulis with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs.
Around 2:00 a.m. officers responded to a call of a possible impaired driver in the 400 block of Shafer Avenue. Upon arrival officers observed a white SUV with it’s rear tires in a ditch and the accused sitting on the front steps of a residence in the area. Upon speaking with the accused officers developed grounds to believe his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
He was arrested and refused to comply with the officers request to complete a breathe sample. Further investigation determined the accused is a prohibited driver and he had approached a residence and kicked a door repeatedly, causing significant damage.
He is charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs, refusing to comply with a demand, driving while prohibited, two counts of driving while licence suspended and mischief under $5,000.
He was releasing on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 15, 2021.
