Firefighters rescue one from east end collision (17 photos)

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on October 13, Sault Fire Services as well as Paramedics and Sault Police Services were notified of a collision on the city’s east end.

When they arrived in the 1200 block of Trunk Road, in front of the Husky, they encountered a cement truck and SUV which had come into contact with each other.

According to a witness who works at Husky, the SUV pulled out into traffic and was impacted by an east-bound cement truck.

The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital after being extricated from the car by Sault Fire Services.

There is no update on the extent of their injuries.

Traffic on Trunk Road was being diverted through the Gas Station property until the incident could be cleaned up.

    A lot of money was spent dealing with this preventable incident.
