A noon hour fire in the downtown core had firefighters from across the city responding.
Sault Fire Services arrived at a multi-story apartment building in the 600 block of Bay Street to learn of heavy smoke inside the building.
The fire on the stove was found to be out when crews arrived at the unit.
They worked quickly to ventilate the building of the smoke and allow occupants who had been evacuated back in.
Firefighters were on scene for about an hour dealing with the call.
Thank you for choosing SaultOnline/ONNTV as your source for news in our community.
It would be good if you realize what you did, on one of your other fires this week. Bruce will be called.
Why do news reports not indicate the location, or the building etc. ? police releases do the same thing.
My apologies, it was an oversight on my end. It has been rectified.
There were several fire trucks at the Bushplane museum last night when we drove by, what happened there?
It was a false alarm.
