Sault Police Services Manager of Communications, Lincoln Louttit has confirmed a sudden death investigation has commenced and the investigation is continuing.

* the original post had Boston Ave. It has been corrected, SaultOnline apologizes for any confusion this may have caused.

  1. NARCAN ® Nasal Spray is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose emergency with signs of breathing problems …the police helpers need to get out there and hand it out,,,they are not coming to pick it up…Bave these poor souls..

  2. To be fair it is the corner of breton and boston and the access to parking lot is on Boston so that is absolutely easily mistaken and we often say they are one or the other ourselves.
Also if they had jumped to any cause in any release unless it was a very very obvious reason, it would be taken wrong or people would be upset anyways so using that blanket term is probably the best way to go about things this early on.

  3. Sounds like an overdose? Sad.
I think the only way the opioid crisis we are enduring is going to get the attention it needs, is if every time someone dies from an OD in the Soo they issue a press release. No need to name the person, just the fact it was an OD and age.
Maybe then people will wake up to the fact that we are losing a generation to this crisis.

  4. Tried to bore myself back to sleep in the wee morning hours last night, for some inexplicable reason I started scrolling through the obits, came across a number of these sudden deaths. People in their 20’s 30’s and 40’s, just in 2021 never made it to 2020, fell back to sleep.
