Woman Charged with Aggravated Assault


On October 12, 2021 officers with Patrol Services charged 40-year-old Loretta Carey with aggravated assault.

Around 9:45 a.m. officers responded to calls of someone assaulting a victim with a golf club in the 0-100 block of Albert Street East. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from serious injuries. EMS also responded and the victim was transported to hospital.

The investigation revealed the victim and accused are not known to each other and the assault is believed to have been unprovoked.

Around 1:36 p.m. officers observed a woman matching the description of the assailant and identified her as the accused. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. She was held for bail court and remanded into custody. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 14, 2021.

  2. Another frequent flyer in the catch and release program who is no stranger to violent attacks yet she continues to walk the streets terrifying the public and racking up more charges.
