Class at Sault College moved to remote learning after positive COVID-19 test result

Sault College

Sault College has been notified by Algoma Public Health (APH) of a positive COVID-19 test result that involves a single college community member who attended a class.

The College is working in cooperation with APH to provide appropriate information for contact tracing. APH is in the process of contacting individuals who may have been in close contact.

The College remains open for scheduled on-campus practical learning activities and out of an abundance of caution only the one class in question will be moved to remote learning for ten days.  Those impacted will be notified and no other activities are impacted at this time.

We hope for a safe recovery of the affected individual. We also are reminded of how important it is to be diligent in helping to limit the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to strictly enforce the key preventative protocols put in place at the College and follow the guidance of APH.

Again, campus members will be contacted directly if they are impacted by this and if they are not contacted are not impacted at all.
