With the surge in cases of COVID-19 in Sault Ste. Marie and across the district, SaultOnline has been receiving a number of reports about cases popping up in area schools. Notices about low and high risk exposures are being sent to parents and guardians by the Algoma Public Health Unit (APH).
It is important to note that a positive case at a school does not necessarily mean the individual was exposed to COVID-19 at a school. They may have been exposed somewhere else in the community.
In response, both the Algoma District School Board (ADSB) and the Huron-Superior Catholic School Board (HSCDSB) have established information and status pages on their respective websites to assist with keeping our communities informed. SaultOnline has added quick links to these resources on our COVID-19 Resource Page.
