The Sault Greyhounds were getting ready to battle the Sudbury Wolves, their first home game since November 21st. However, due to a COVID outbreak within the Sudbury Wolves this game has been postponed. For any fans who have purchased tickets for this game, your ticket will remain valid for when this matchup is rescheduled

The Sudbury Wolves reported that 12 players have tested positive for the virus at this time. The OHL released a statement that “All 12 players from the Wolves are currently asymptomatic or exhibiting mild symptoms and the League and team will continue to monitor their well-being”

The OHL will follow its strict COVID 19 protocols and all team activities will be canceled until the COVID outbreak is under control. This means Sudbury’s next three games will be postponed and played at a later date.

  • Wednesday, December 1 – Sudbury Wolves at Soo Greyhounds
  • Friday, December 3 – Barrie Colts at Sudbury Wolves
  • Saturday, December 4 – Sudbury Wolves at Barrie Colts

To start the OHL season the league put out a vaccine mandate for everyone involved within the OHL community including all players, coaching staff and billet families.

No other Greyhounds games will be postponed as this outbreak only affected the Sudbury Wolves. The Hounds will take the extra time to prepare for their next game which will be on Friday at home vs the Guelph Storm.

Everyone around the league and here at Saultonline wish all of the Sudbury Wolves players a safe and speedy recovery.
