@ 7:22 a.m. – Algoma Power is advising that crews are still working to restore electrical service in the areas of Batchawana Bay, Goulais River, Aweres (Heyden) and St. Joseph Island.
The estimated time to restoration is not known at this time.

Both PUC and Algoma Power are reporting multiple unplanned electrical service interruptions across Sault Ste. Marie and area.
In Sault Ste. Marie, PUC is advising that they have received numerous reports of outages in the north, east and west ends of the city. Crews are currently investigating the causes of outages.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m., Algoma Power reported the first unplanned electrical service interruption affecting customers in the Goulais and Batchewana areas. Since then, an update has been provided expanding the areas affected to Heyden/Aweres and St. Joseph Island. Crews have been dispatched to investigate the causes of the outages.
