If gold stars are still handed out for school assignments, the entire student body at Tarentorus Public School should get a handful.
The assignment last week was to collect as many non-perishable food items for the Christmas Food Bank. Let’s just say the students passed with flying colours!
“The students collected all of this in five days,” Davey Taylor, Principal, told SaultOnline.com Friday afternoon.
The cans of food and other items were collected from the families and neighbourhood residents of the student body.
Sault Fire Services were picking up the 2,363 items collected to bring them to the Christmas Cheer Depot.
Good for them we should be proud of them. I bought several cans just to give to my niece so she could donate them.
