The Sault Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce that tickets to our Winter Wonderland concert are on sale now.
While this concert was originally planned to be offered in-person, the Symphony has made the difficult decision to transition to a virtual event. This is due to both safety concerns around the increasing number of COVID cases in the Sault and logistical difficulties related to recently-implemented gathering restrictions.
Nevertheless, the Symphony is excited to be able to offer this collection of classical holiday pieces by Tchaikovsky, Bach, and others for patrons to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.
“While we understand that some patrons will be disappointed by our decision to switch to a virtual concert, we felt it was best for the safety of all involved,” said board chair Louis St. Pierre. “We know patrons will still enjoy this holiday concert, so we hope they won’t let the move to virtual prevent them from buying tickets.”
The concert will be livestreamed at 7:30pm on December 12 through our ticketing website, Ticketor. Tickets are only $20 each, and will provide access to the concert recording for two days after the initial livestream. A concert programme will be available on the Symphony’s website prior to the concert.
“We’re very grateful for the support the community has shown us throughout the pandemic, and we really hope to see that continue with our Winter Wonderland concert,” said St. Pierre. “It’s important to us that we’re able to keep providing high quality musical entertainment to the Sault, but that wouldn’t be possible without our patrons’ support.”
