SaultOnline has learned of a heavy police presence at Silver Creek Golf on the outside of Sault Ste. Marie.
Since mid-afternoon, OPP has been on the scene in large numbers and the course has been closed.
SaultOnline spoke with a golfer who was on the course earlier today when the incident occurred.
According to that individual OPP is searching for a suspect who could be considered armed on the golf course. We have been independently able to confirm that account through other sources.
The road into Silver Creek Golf is closed and multiple units remain on scene at this hour.
SaultOnline has reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police who informed us the Anishinabek Police Services was the lead agency.
