Charged with Two Break and Enters and Damage to Laundry Equipment

On June 28, 2022, officers in Patrol Services charged 37-year-old Steven Turco with break and enter.

Around 12:57 a.m. on March 31, 2022, the accused entered a secure area of a multi-unit residence in the 0-100 block of Oryme Avenue. While inside the secure area the accused damaged pay-per-use laundry equipment, causing approximately $2,000 in damages and stealing a quantity of money.

Around 4:20 a.m. the accused entered a secure area of a multi-unit residence in the 700 block of Pine Street. While inside the secure area the accused damaged pay-per-use laundry equipment, causing approximately $1,250 in damage. No property was reported stolen from the equipment.

The investigation identified the accused, and a warrant was requested and issued for their arrest.

Officers located the accused on June 28, 2022, in the 700 block of Great Northern Road and the accused was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

The accused is charged with,

  • Break and Enter x2
  • Breach of Probation x2
  • Wearing a Disguise x2
  • Possession of Break in Tools x2
  • Mischief Under $5,000

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on September 12, 2022.

  1. The catch and release must cease. These brown spots on society need to do their earned time with heavy duty probation after the fact.
