2:00 p.m. –You won’t be seeing any big ships on the river for a little bit as the United States Coast Guard has confirmed the waterway is currently shut down.
According to US Coast Guard Command in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan the waterway is currently shut down to navigation from Big Point to Nine Mile due to the oil spill.
