Line-Up Announced For Go North Music Festival


Go North Music Festival announces the official schedule for the 4th annual festival.

Set for Friday, July 8th & Saturday, July 9th, this year’s festival, held on beautiful St. Joseph Island, will feature an incredible group of Canadian talent including this year’s Saturday night headliners, JUNO award-winning rock band Crown Lands.The Saturday lineup also includes singer-songwriter Charlotte Cornfield (Rolling Stone recently called her Canada’s Best-Kept Secret); a healthy dose of rock’n’roll with Thunder Bay’s The Honest Heart Collective, Ottawa’s Taming Sari, Toronto duo Goodnight Sunrise; Local Favourites The Uncanny Valley, and Cass FM. This year the festival will kick off on Friday, July 8th with a special opening night concert at The Centennial Grounds featuring rootsy blues singer-songwriter Jay Pollmann and special guest Hannah Lindsay and Band.

Come for the music – stay for the food, local artisans, and local craft beer. This year the festival will feature the following food vendors – The Copper Bean (Including Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options), The St. Joseph Island Hunters and Anglers, and the Sault Ste. Marie Beaver Tails Truck and local craft beer (including Northern Superior Brewing and Outspoken Brewing) and Crafty Elk Organic Hard Juice vodka beverages. The Marketplace vendors are NationTee custom apparel, Island Wood’n Things (Reclaimed wood furniture, nautical wood items), H&S Sign Works custom signs and décor, Flo and Co custom pet products, Aeriel Designs beaded earrings,  Northern Ruralnet festival wifi host, and Holistic Healing Algoma massage and reiki.

  1. I hope at least some of them will have the common sense to turn the volume down to half instead of deafening everyone as usual. You’d think that by the deafening decibels that they are playing to an audience that is a mile away. Louder is not better.
