Second individual charged with Assault at Hospital on Canada Day

As a follow-up to our first story, police have released the name of the second individual charged on Canada Day with assault at Sault Area Hospital-


On July 1, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 59-year-old Callum Desmoulin with assault and uttering threats.

Around 11:30 a.m. the accused was asked to leave the facility, refused to leave, then attempted to punch and grab a staff member and threatened to assault them. Staff was able to escort the accused outside then the accused left the area. Officers located the accused around 5:46 p.m. at their residence and they were arrested.

The accused is charged with,

  • Assault
  • Uttering Threats

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on September 12, 2022.
