Stolen Vehicle Recovered

On July 4, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 32-year-old Jordan Porter with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Around 2:00 p.m. officers observed a vehicle, matching the description of a vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day, pull into the parking lot of a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. The driver of the vehicle exited the vehicle and went into the business.

Further investigation confirmed it was the vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day. The driver exited the business and officers spoke with the driver. The driver identified as the accused and was arrested. A subsequent search found the accused to be in possession of approximately 38 grams of fentanyl, and approximately 1.2 grams of cocaine. The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $19,000.

The accused is charged with,

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Failure to Comply with a Probation Order – Failing to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on September 19, 2022.
