Three Charged in Stolen Vehicle Investigation

On August 3, 2022, officers with the Crime Suppression Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit charged 46-year-old Christian Boissineau, 46-year-old Jasen Hansen, and 41-year-old Mario Vautour with possession of property obtained by crime.

Around 9:20 p.m. officers were conducting general patrols in the area of Wellington Street East and Tancred Street when they observed a grey sedan nearly cause a collision with another vehicle. Officers caught up with the vehicle and checked the licence plate number through the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from Ingleside, Ontario on July 14, 2022.

A traffic stop was initiated as the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of a business in the 1200 block of Wellington Street East. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed the three accused in the vehicle. All three were arrested for possession of property obtained by crime.

A subsequent search of the three accused and the vehicle took place following the arrests. Jasen Hansen was found to be in possession of approximately .45 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl and four counterfeit Canadian 20-dollar bills.

Mario Vautour was found to be in possession of approximately .91 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, approximately 12.1 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl, approximately 3.09 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, four hydromorphine pills, and $600 in Canadian currency.

The estimated retail value of the narcotics seized is $6,705.

Christian Boissineau is charged with possession of property obtained by crime. The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on October 24, 2022.

Jasen Hansen is charged with,

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Counterfeit Money

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 24, 2022.

Mario Vautour is charged with,

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance x3
  • Possession of Counterfeit Money

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 24, 2022.
