On December 20, 2021, officers with Patrol Services charged 32-year-old Marcus Iacoboni with dangerous operation.
Around 1:00 p.m. officers observed a vehicle driving erratically near the Great Northern Road and Second Line East intersection. The vehicle turned east bound on Second Line East, officers activated emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop just past Old Garden River Road. The vehicle pulled to the side of the road, into a snowbank, nearly striking a utility pole.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver, later identified as the accused, was arrested. As the investigation continued, officers developed grounds to believe the accused’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drug. A subsequent search of the accused found them to be in possession of a small quantity of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and brass knuckles.

Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Failing to Comply with Recognizance – Failing to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour
Breach of Recognizance – Possessing Prohibited Weapon
The accused was released on undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on February 23, 2023.
