The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie reminds supporters that ticket sales for this year’s Rotary Take Your Pick Draw end everywhere Thursday, December 22nd at 9pm.

“We set the draw date for December 27th so that anyone interested could give a ticket as a gift or a stocking stuffer, but decided in the planning process to close sales early enough to give our volunteers a much deserved break leading up to Christmas,” shared Draw Co-Chair Rod Goodall, explaining the gap between the two dates. “It’s not uncommon for non-profits to give themselves time between closing ticket sales and their draw, but it is new for Rotary to have this long. Some summers we are still entering tickets into the drum while it’s being brought down to the ROTARYFEST stage!”

Tickets are still being sold at 70 retail locations across Algoma, but that number will start getting smaller Thursday morning as books begin to be collected and returned to the Rotary office. “Depending on the needs of each location, we try to leave tickets at each outlet as long as possible,” shared Goodall, “our online tickets will be available right up to 9pm tomorrow.” The link for online tickets is www.RotarySault.com/TYP.

Tickets are $20 and support Rotary’s good works in our community. Rotary invests in the Sault’s children and youth through Rotary Youth Exchange, Rotary Sports Awards, high school and post-secondary scholarships, local projects such as the Rotary Adventure Playground, and partnerships with local charities including THRIVE Child Development Centre.
