It’s not very often you can describe a fundraising event as both sweet and healthy, but the ARCH Chocolate Express is one of them.
The annual fundraiser for ARCH held at Stokely Creek attracted over 400 participants on Sunday. Each participant paying $30 or a minimum of $50 in pledges gives them the opportunity to snowshoe, ski the trails of Stokely while sampling some incredible chocolate.
The event started in January 2015 and has grown from there despite the pandemic that halted the event for two years. Outdoor enthusiasts at all levels of learning were able to sign up for trails that are marked, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 kilometers for skiers, as well as a 2.5 snowshoeing trail . Several chocolate stations are set up along the route.
