On February 23, 2023, officers in Patrol Services charged 52-year-old Maria Kudyba with operation while impaired – alcohol and/or drug.
Around 5:00 p.m. officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Black Road. Upon arriving at the scene, officers approached the vehicle. After speaking with the driver, later identified as the accused, officers developed grounds to believe the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
The accused was arrested and later provided two breath samples into an approved device, each time registering a result over the legal limit.
The accused is charged with,
• Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and/or Drug
• Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on April 24, 2023.
