The month of May is fast approaching.

And that means it’s time for all T-Bird hopefuls to hit the ice!

Starting on May 5, the Soo Thunderbirds will be holding their 2023 Development Camp which will take place this year at the brand new Northern Community Centre in the west end of Sault Ste. Marie.

This year’s Development Camp will run from May 5 – May 7, and will be open to all players born in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and in 2008.

The deadline to register is May 1, and all players that are interested must contact Soo Thunderbirds general manager Jamie Henderson by emailing him at [email protected].

Since entering the NOJHL in 1999, the Soo Thunderbirds had a total of five players that went on to play in the National Hockey League, including Tyler Kennedy (Stanley Cup champion in 2009), Jake Muzzin (Stanley Cup champion in 2014), Andrew Campbell, Colin Miller and Boris Katchouk.

All five of those players are also graduates of our OHL’s Soo Greyhounds!
