A garage fire Thursday morning on Bruce Street blasted thick, black clouds of smoke into the Sault Ste. Marie sky.
Around 7:10 a.m., Sault Ste. Marie firefighters rushed to the scene on the 100-block of Gladstone Avenue, rapidly extinguishing the fire. from the alley behind the building. The building sustained substantial damage. The cause of the fire has not been determined. No injuries have been reported.
