Did you know the rates of autism in Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma are double the national and provincial rates?
On February 4, 100+ Women Who Care will seek to raise $10K in about an hour for The Algoma Autism Foundation.
The Algoma Autism Foundation was founded by local parents and supporters. AAF provides Sensitive Santa, Trunk or Treat, Saturday gymnastics sessions at John Rhodes, a new sensory room at a local school for children with special needs, socials for parents, a new teen group. They donate RF beacon bracelets to Sault Search and Rescue for individuals who are a flight risk or wander and are working with local partners to address housing needs for individuals with disabilities.
This group is 100% local and 100% volunteer and relies on fundraising to provide these services. Our collective donations of $10K or more will make a tremendous impact, so let’s fill the room for the AAF and our neighbours on the spectrum.
Please join us at The Water Tower Inn, in the Pavilion.
