The SSMADC’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament held each summer at Sault Ste. Marie’s Crimson Ridge Golf Club regularly sells out, raising thousands of dollars which benefits a variety of community endeavors.
Anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 is raised each year, which is divided up amongst the year’s chosen recipients, a list of varied but equally important causes that provide crucial support and service to the community.
Among these beneficiaries have been the Special Olympics, Crime Stoppers, the Canadian Mental Health Association, the ALS Society of Ontario, Community Living Algoma and Hope Air.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament will help assist the people that we support to enhance their lifestyle and enable inclusion into our communities.
The proceeds from the Golf tournament allow Community Living Algoma to continue with the Memorial Wall ceremonies yearly for people supported and staff that have passed away as well as, the continuation of the Opportunities and Experiences Fund which allows individuals receiving assistance from CLA that may not have the financial means to participate in activities to get out and experience inclusion in the community.
Community Living Algoma is a non-for-profit organization that provides supports and services to over 800 children, youth and adults with a developmental disability and their families throughout Sault Ste. Marie and the District of Algoma.
