Sault Ste. Marie
HOW WILL YOU SHOW YOUR SUPPORT?
~ Breast Cancer Awareness Month ~
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to kick off this campaign, the Sault Ste. Marie Paramedics have been WEARING CUSTOM PINK EPAULETTES to create awareness and generate conversation in the community!
Primary Care Paramedic Kylie Pratt is spearheading the group’s efforts and fundraising throughout the month of October.
“As Paramedics we are unfortunately all too often witness to the hurt that cancer can put patients and their families through. Discussing this opportunity among ourselves at the Paramedic station we all decided that we wanted to try and do whatever else we can to help those affected by this terrible disease,” said Pratt.
In their efforts to raise money for breast cancer research, the Paramedics will be placing donation bins at many local restaurants and businesses.
