    Hi Folks:

    Summer weather is upon us and with that we have some great activities for July! Let’s give a big Welcome to our Up, Out and Away staff that will be with us for the months of July and August!

    Call a friend and come join in on the fun. Stop in at any time to see what events we have planned for the summer months. Don’t forget to register early!

    Pre-registration for all programs is required. Call 705-254-6474 to register, payments are required one week prior to each event or program.

    9:00 a.m. Talk & Walk the Hub Trail – Join fellow seniors and our summer students as you walk the hub trail in downtown area. Special guests will be making appearances throughout the summer to give walking tips. Meet in the back parking lot of the Seniors Drop-In Centre. Use our Nordixx Poles if you wish. June 5th to August 23rd 

    10:00 a.m. Snooker – Played downstairs each day Monday to Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The cost to play is $7.00 per week. Drop in anytime to visit the pool room.

    10:30 a.m. Wii Bowling Fridays – Mondays, June 12th, 19th & 26th. Fridays, June 2nd, 16th & 23rd. The cost is $1.00

    1:00 p.m.  Swedish Weaving – This group meets weekly to work on individual projects. They share patterns with each other while they Swedish Weave. Cost: $2.00 per visit

    1:00 p.m.  Knifty Knitters – This is the perfect knitting tool for anyone whose fingers are sometimes stiff and painful.  Let the Knifty Knitter tool hold your work while you create hats, scarves and more.  We invite folks who are new to our Centre to join us to learn how to use the Knifty Knitter. Time: 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Cost: $1.00 per visit plus supplies

    1:00 p.m.  French Club Cards

    2:00 p.m. Pickle Ball – This is a hybrid sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Equipment is provided Cost is $2 per visit.

    7:00 p.m.  Duplicate Bridge
    Algoma Cambrian Bridge Club (ACBC) meet five times per week to play duplicate bridge and socialize. Cost: $3.00 per visit
