Climate Change is one of the greatest threats to humanity, and agriculture is one of the sectors that is seeing the negative effects.
Sault Climate Hub is pleased to hold the 3rd in our series of presentations about climate change. Our topic is “Agriculture and Climate Change” Our speaker will talk about how sustainable methods, including regenerative agriculture, the importance of soil health, in growing and producing our food, can mitigate climate change. How the impacts of industrial agriculture has affected the planet. The importance of local food systems will also be discussed, as well as how consumers can make a difference.
Speaker: Lauren Moran is a graduate of Trent University with her B.Sc. in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. She is working with RAIN (Rural Agricultural Innovation Network) at the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre as a researcher, while studying Community Economic and Social Development at Algoma University.
This seminar series will be conducted using a ZOOM platform.
